PART 3 A

I learned alot about the people that live in this time period. I didn't know that the people at this time had such a hard life. In the interview i read about
Alice Caudle, Mill Worker she was a woman who worked in a mill, she was born to work in this atmosphere and had did it sinse she knew how to walk. the thing that shocked me the most was that because she was a girl, she couldn't go as far as she wanted to with her job. if she had been a man, she could have made more money and made something of herself. it surprised me that at this time, women were still discriminated against and were considered lower than men.
Irving Fajans, Department Store Worker was a man that worked in a department store. the workers there would plant letters and notes throughout the store and ask people to come to the union meeting and make people smile. this shows that the people in the 1930s would band together and try to beat the system.
